Plastic fascia boards are preferred because they come in various colours and finishes and do not require repainting regularly like wooden fascias. They are also less susceptible to the effects of adverse weather and do not rot the way wood can tend to. Plastic prevents the need for priming and painting, which saves a lot of time in the installation process.
